THE STORY OF US
It was 17 years ago that we met. Two fiery individuals, both with a “no nonsense” attitude, very young and ambitious and at the start of building our careers. We fell in love, dated for 5 years and got married, and as they say, the rest is history.
In the last 12 years we have built a business from scratch, bought 3 houses, renovated 2. Had 3 dogs, 5 cats and 2 bunnies (luckily not all at once!) and most importantly, two beautiful children.
The Lord has blessed us in abundance
With a natural interest in décor, styling and design, the need to create and be creative, along with divine intervention culminated in the birth of Be STIIL.
During what can only be described as an intense period of growth and a time during which we got to experience God’s grace first-hand, kick-started the idea of using our talents and resources to not only live out our dream, but to use this platform as a tool to contribute positively and thereby hopefully to create a positive impact on our surroundings.
Not being ones to shy away from a challenge, or hard work for that matter, the opportunity to start a second venture was presented to us in waves of random requests and projects coming across our way. Although we both felt, at times, that these opportunities was steering us further and further away from our true passion, being furniture and décor, the Lord’s timing has proved, yet again, to be perfect.
As with all things worthwhile, the process of building and developing Be STIIL has been a labour of love and a journey filled with many highs and lows. Many tears and frustrations, lessons learnt, disappointments and failures, but also plenty of successes and joy as well as accomplishments achieved along the way.
Looking back and seeing our dream and passion finally come into fruition, it almost seems unreal. God truly works in mysterious ways. I can unequivocally say that none of this would have been possible without God’s favour, kindness and grace steering us along the way.
Our hopes and dreams for Be STIIL is that it will grow, flourish and prosper. That it will give us the platform to impact and touch peoples lives and that we will be able to empower the lives of those who choose to embark on this journey with us. Most importantly, we believe that the story of Be STIIL has, and will continue to be a testimony of God’s grace, the ultimate reward of obedience and to forever continue trusting in His timing.
